![[ ]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/Dogzluver/old-1.png) | Freedom Trail The Freedom Trail is an indispensable resource for any visitor to Boston. It is a 2 1/2 mile trail, marked by a wide red brick line (you can’t miss it!), connecting 16 of Boston’s most historic sites. Dogs may be able to have a bit of fun walking this trail.

![[ ]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/Dogzluver/old-1.png) | Junkyard Typical place you'd find strays. People dump all kinds of things here every day so dogs can try and make use of these things. There is a good amout of food here too. A pack of dogs are here too with their leader Artax.

![[ ]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/Dogzluver/old-1.png) | Old North Church If it weren’t for the aromas of sweet Italian sausage and oregano wafting through the North End, you could easily imagine standing in front of this church in 1775, when it earned its rightful place in America’s history. Dogs may able to sneek in here and go up to the top. It has a nice view of Boston Harbor.

![[ ]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/Dogzluver/old-1.png) | Abandon Apartments This is NOT a territory. This large and very spacey apartment building seems to be abandon. Just a few peices of junk left, old mattresses, torn up couches, a few blankets and such. It's in a good location near some restaurants. Dogs may take shelter in it's many rooms.

![[ ]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/Dogzluver/old-1.png) | Museum of Science With over 600 interactive exhibits, Boston’s only 180-degree wraparound movie screen, the Charles Hayden Planetarium, the Theater of Electricity, and more, science comes alive at the Museum of Science. Come meet the updated 39-foot long T. rex and its scaly-skinned friends at the fascinating dinosaur exhibit or experience the world’s largest Van de Graaff generator as it creates a lightning storm so close you can smell the ozone. This would be a very nice play to explore for dogs. You can talk to some of the animals there as well if you can sneek in.

![[ ]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/Dogzluver/old-1.png) | Fenway Park Boston's beloved ballpark provides fans of the 2004 World Champions with front-row seats to baseball history. Just as Wrigley Field has its signature ivy, Fenway has the Green Monster, the famous 37-foot-high left-field wall that transforms lazy fly balls into home runs. Other legendary characteristics of this brick-faced stadium (opened in 1912) include one of the major league's last remaining manual scoreboards and unbelievably small seats. Sight lines vary from awesome (next to the dugout), to downright obstructed--especially around some spots in the grandstand. Sneeking in here will be hard, but it's worth it!

![[ ]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/Dogzluver/old-1.png) | Old State House Recognized as one of the most important buildings in Colonial America, this is where the conflict between royal Governors and the Massachusetts Legislative Assembly bubbled into fiery debate and outright defiance. The Old State House is the oldest surviving public building in Boston, built in 1713 to house the offices of the colonial government. The Boston Massacre occurred just outside, and it was from the balcony that the Declaration of Independence was first read to the people of Boston in 1776. Dogs may able to sneek in here and see a bit about American history...that is if they want too. Still a nice place to explore.

![[ ]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/Dogzluver/old-1.png) | Franklin Park Zoo The 72-acre Franklin Park Zoo is located within Boston’s historic Franklin Park, long considered the crown jewel of Frederick Law Olmsted’s “Emerald Necklace” park system. The zoo was founded in 1911, and today is home to more than 220 species of animals. Highlights at the zoo include the Giraffe Savannah, the Kalahari Kingdom, and Butterfly Landing, where you can walk amidst 1,000 delicate and vibrant butterflies in free flight. Kids love the Franklin Farm and petting zoo, where interactive stations offer a place for little ones to have fun on the farm without leaving the city. Dogs may be able to talk to some of the animals here. There are NO wolves at this zoo.

There is trash around here that people dump as well as many things to sleep on such as couches and old matresses. Good place to sleep in and it's got a nice view of Boston Harbor too. A pack of dogs now lives here with their leader Panic.

Features include the Swan Boats, the world's shortest suspension bridge and larger-than-life statues of the avian heroes of "Make Way for Ducklings." Maybe you can sneek onto the Swan Boats for a little ride.

![[ ]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/Dogzluver/old-1.png) | Blue Hills Just south of Boston. Blue Hills Reservation offers 6,500 acres of woods, meadows and ponds with more than 200 miles of trails for hiking, riding and nature study. About one-third of the reservation is open to mountain bikers. Athletic types climb and descend for hours, tackling the rocky ascent to Buck Hill (just above Houghton Pond) as well as a milder climb up the paved Summit Road, which crests Great Blue Hill. More experienced mountain bikers might want to test their mettle descending Coon Hollow Path.

Charles Price, Superintendent of the Metropolitan District Commission’s Middlesex Fells Reservation, founded the Zoo in 1905, and in 1969, the site was renamed in honor of Walter D. Stone, a former Zoo Director. Highlights of Stone Zoo’s collection include the snow leopards of Himalayan Highlands, bald eagles of Yukon Creek, hornbills and emperor tamarins of Windows to the Wild, and jaguars and cougars of Treasures of the Sierra Madre. There are wolves at this zoo

![[ ]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v677/Dogzluver/old-1.png) | Breakheart Tucked away amid strip malls and fast-food joints on Route 1 in Saugus lies a gorgeous 675-acre reservation which is truly one of the hidden gems close to Boston. There are miles and miles of scenic, varied, and sometimes strenuous hiking trails, picturesque ponds for swimming, and hemlock groves for picnicking. This 3-mile hike, while circling the reservation, meanders along the banks of the Saugus River. The last leg of the tour cruises around man-made lakes where archaeologists have uncovered Native American artifacts more than 10,000 years old. The have five ecosystems—river flood plain, barren ridges, hemlock forests, oak woodlands, and moist wetlands—its changing landscape and vegetation. Dogs might have some fun here.
